So happy to say "Gorilla Got Me Radio" will be featured in this film. I'm honored to be included and a part of this documentary that Jesse so deserves after all these years! The director and producers of the film are hoping for a DVD release with extra footage to follow after a run in film festivals around the world. Info below:

JESSE HECTOR - A MESSAGE TO THE WORLD - Documentary Film Premier - London
A Message To The World is being shown at 9pm on December 4th at 242 Acklam Road W10 at the Westbourne Studios, London. Admission is free.
Press Release: 'A Message To The World'
Mutton-chopped Jesse Hector was a permanent fixture in the English music press of the mid-Seventies and the electrifying live performances of his band The Gorillas proved an inspiration to such faces on the burgeoning Punk scene as Paul Weller, Billy Idol, Shane McGowan and Rat Scabies.
Jesse has always believed in the revolutionary and rejuvenating power of music - the cover of The Gorillas album showed his band of space ace Mods hurtling towards earth on a meteorite to save the world with rock n' roll - and his belief in music is as strong today as it ever has been.
He now works as a cleaner at Hackney Empire and The Royal Horticultural Society and this documentary follows him as he journeys around London and retraces his fifty years in rock n' roll - skiffling at the 2 I's in Old Compton Street at the age of 12, playing guitar with Mod Freakbeat legends The Clique, fronting proto-punk bruisers Crushed Butler and The Hammersmith Gorillas - and attempts to find out, as the NME's Roy Carr wrote in 1977, Whatever Happened To Jesse Hector?'

The Wednesday, November 8th edition of Gorilla Got Me will involve me begging you for money. It is the annual WMBR fundraiser....the one time of year the radio station asks for listener support. WMBR is all volunteer/commercial-free/free-form radio and relies solely on listener support to keep the station in operation.
There will be lots of great treats and premiums (concert/club tix, CD/DVDs, books, etc.) for your much appreciated donation offerings. Hope you can join me and lend some change or small dollar (or large) amounts to the Gorilla! Tune in 2:00-4:00 PM EST as we let the begging begin.
You can phone in donations during the show on November 8th, 2:00-4:00PM EST at 617-253-8810 or donate online at www.wmbr.org

April 2006
I will be airing a phone interview with one of my all time favorite rock n' rollers, British cult legend Jesse Hector, on Gorilla Got Me Wednesday May 3rd 2:00-4:00PM EST.
Jesse's career has spanned more than 40 years and has influenced a whole wave of musicians and bands on the UK music scene. Starting out in his early teen years playing the London pub circut back in the late 1950's/early 1960's, he has continued recording and performing up through the 1990's with bands like Hammersmith Gorillas, Crushed Butler, Helter Skelter, The Rock N' Roll Trio, The Gatecrashers, The Cravattes, The Clique, etc...and possibly a new band in the works as we speak!
RPM Records has celebrated Jesse's long career with the recent release of Gorilla Garage, a retrospect of Jesse's music, as well as the release of material from his proto-punk band Crushed Butler. Also, in the works from RPM is a documentary film about Jesse, to be released in the next upcoming months.
A true legend on the London scene. A man that has experienced rock n' roll in all its glory, from the past and present, and is still here to talk about it. Hope you can tune in or you listen live online by clicking link to the right.

Another DJ duo axe attack! Me and my pal Dinos "The Greek-ski" will be joining forces once again, spinning lots of Rock n' Rolla vinyl for your listening and dancing pleasure at the upcoming O'Briens blast! Gracing the stage that evening will be your mom's favorite local band The Tampoffs, The DC Snipers (NJ), and The Imaginary Icons (NYC-members of The Shop Fronts/Tie-Reds). Me and Dinos will be blasting out the tunes in between sets. All is happening Saturday January 28th, 2006 @ O'Briens. You can guarantee I will be playing "Up Against The Wall Motherfuckers" over and over again! That song alone is worth going to this show. Hope to see you!!

Yes...I have now succumbed to the depths of cheesiness. I now have a myspace page: www.myspace.com/gorillagotme. It's truly a love/hate relationship. But, you do get to have Gary Glitter as a friend, so it's worth it!
